TAMIL NADU LOCKDOWN 5.0: Day before yesterday, the Central Government has announced the lockdown is extended to June 30 with some more relaxations. Even though the Central Govt has given relaxations for few things, the Tamil Nadu State Government has released its own guidelines yesterday based on the current situation in the state.
The Following Restrictions which is already in effect will be continued till the next announcement:
- Temple Gatherings
- Resorts, hotels with accommodation facility
- Malls
- Schools, Colleges, Coaching Institutes, Research Institutes, and all other education-related Institutes.
- International Flights, Metro and Electric Local Trains
- Theatres, Gym, Bar, Swimming pool, Beach, Halls, and all other tourist places in the state.
- All type of community, politics, sports, entertainment, cultural activities, education gatherings & processions
- Interstate transport
The above restrictions will get reduced according to the spread of the virus.
Funeral & Marriage Restrictions:
- Not more than 20 people allowed for the Funeral and things related to that
- Not more than 50 people allowed for the Marriage functions
Public Transport Inside the State:
Since the public transport has going to start from June 01, the state has been divided into 8 zones.
Zone 01 - Coimbatore, Nilgiris, Erode, Tiruppur, Karur, Salem and Namakkal
Zone 02 - Dharmapuri, Vellore, Tirupathur, Ranipet and Krishnagiri
Zone 03 - Villupuram, Tiruvannamalai, Cuddalore and Kallakurichi
Zone 04 - Nagapattinam, Tiruvarur, Tanjavur, Trichy, Ariyalur, Perambalur and Pudukottai
Zone 05 - Dindugal, Madurai, Theni, Virudhunagar, Sivagangai and Ramanathapuram
Zone 06 - Thoothukudi, Kanyakumari, Tirunelveli and Tenkasi
Zone 07 - Tiruvallur, Kancheepuram and Chengalpattu
Zone 08 - Chennai
- 50% of public transport will be operated in all districts except districts under 7 & 8 zone.
- Restriction for public transport will continue for 7 & 8 zone (Chennai Tiruvallur, Kancheepuram and Chengalpattu)
- Only 60% of seats should be occupied by the passengers inside the public transport.
- No need for E-Pass to travel inside the zones and for public transport travel
- No public transport for inter-zone and interstate
E-Pass Related:
- All types of vehicles are allowed inside the zones without any E-Pass
- E-Pass is compulsory for inter Zone travel, interstate, and also people who returning from other states just like before.
